How to repair the unmountable boot volume using windows os ?

Use the xp installation cd to repair the unmountable boot volume : -

1, Insert the xp installation cd .

2, Now select the R key when the welcome screen appears, this will redirect to the DOS prompt.

3, Now type chkdsk/p in your dos prompt and then hit enter key. This process will remove the errors on your hard disk.

4, After doing this type fixboot in your dos promt and hit enter key, this process will remove the damaged or corrupted files.

5, And then type y key which will exit and now reboot the system again.
