If your files get corrupted or deleted you can restore your system with the help of system restore.
To navigate to system restore :-
Use the Start - > all programs -> accessories -> system restore .
There you can find an option of restoring your system to a earlier state.
Also you can use the system restore as an option to clear the entire disk and use it newly as it was immediately after the os installation.
